who we are
Our Burn Foundation is comprised of all non-paid volunteers and we are all Boston Firefighters. On our days off, we provide both emotional and financial support to burn victims and their families. We have a team that run fundraising events, who build a relationship with those in need, and provide services where needed.
HOW DID WE START?
The basic premise, that fueled our start, was to simply help burn victims/survivors and their families.
Our Burn Foundation, although relatively new, has enjoyed both tremendous growth and support. We officially started in July, 2003 with the recognition from the state of Massachusetts, as a “non-profit” 501(c)3 organization. (EIN # =20-0145067).
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
While this may seem simple enough, in truth it entails more than meets the eye:
“To ease the suffering and hardships of burn victims/survivors and their families”.
Some of the services that we provide the victims and their families include, but are not limited to: Lodging, Clothing, Meals, Travel expenses, Mortgage/rent payments, Gifts during the holidays, Friendship.
